Your Life Path Number is 5

Your purpose in life is to life freely and collect experiences.

You love life - new adventures, new people, new ideas.

You are very curious, and you crave novelty in all forms.

You tend to make friends easily, and you enjoy the company of all types of people.

In love, you are fun and even a bit intoxicating. But you won't stick around for long.

You are impulsive and spontaneous - which sometimes leads you to do things you regret.
Sometimes you can be overindulgent with food, sex, or drugs.

You have many talents, so many that you are often scattered and unfocused.

My Day At Magick River Mar 21, '06 9:36 PM ET

My Day At Magick River Mar 21, '06 9:36 PM ET

Yesterday started with the phone's talking alarm going "It's time to get up. It's six am. It's time to get up. It's six am...."

Showered and threw a spare polo shirt and bermudas (together with Marion Zimmer Bradley's Hastur Heritage and Exile that I've been reading) into a small duffle bag and headed off to pick up Alain and his friend from Bangkok, Taaan (at least that's how it sounds). The off to pick up Wei Jun and on to breakfast at a coffeeshop next to Menara MPPJ in PJ State area. Had vegetarian bee hoon, kway teow and yee mee together with some curried vegetables - yeah it was a fairly heavy brakfast (I didn't want to take chances).

Then we had to go fetch Foo and his friend Francoise from Francoise's house in Jln/Persiaran (I forget which) Gallagher.

FINALLY! WE WERE OFF!

From Mahameru we turned onto Jalan Kuching and then headed up North using the old North-South road and somewhere before Selayang, I think, we headed into the Batu Caves Road and then turned towards Ulu Yam. From Ulu Yam we headed up towards Batang Kali and then Kuala Kubu Baru. Kuala Kubu Baru reminds me (a bit) of Taiping. I had a kopi o peng kau and we bought some food (take away).

Then we headed towards Kampung Gerachi (and Magick River) that lies at the side of the Empangang Selangor Kuala Kubu Baru.

Kg Gerachi is the resettlement site of the Temuan Orang Asli who had been displaced from their idyllic valley paradise in the interest of building the Kuala Kubu Dam. More info on that, the Temuan and Magick River can be found at http://magickriver.net/index.htm.

At Kg Gerachi we made our way to the home of Antares (the writer formerly known as Kit Leeeee) and his wife, Anoura, and son, AHAU. I reminded Antares that we had met a number of times in the past, always with a few years separating each meeting.

I soon learnt that Heiko and Selena Niedermeyer were at Magick River, having completed a "Releasing" workshop the previous day. More about Heiko and Selena Niedermeyer and their "Releasing" workshops and retreats at http://www.ireleasenow.com/ and http://www.ireleasenow.com/Workshopschedules.htm.

Went down to the river and some of the lower/smaller falls but was unable to get up to the mother fall (refer to Magick River website). Wei Jun, Francoise and Foo swam. Alain, Taaan and I did not. Not that it mattered. It started to pour and by the time we made it back to Antares' home we were as drenched as if we had taken a dip in the icy waters of Magick River. By then of course the river was running very strong and unsafe.

It was lovely catching up with Antares, Heiko and Selena and we also celebrated AHAU's 10th birthday with the singing of the song and the cutting of the cake all in AHAU's absence - we wasn't at all interested and was busy watching Pochahontas in the living room.

Made our way back to KL this time via the highways and eventually tolol-highways - I didn't want to chance getting stuck in a flash flood and by then it was getting dark.

After sending everyone but Wei Jun home, the two of us headed to PJ State for Teo CHew Duck Porridge. Then I sent him back and came back to a shower and bed :)

The End.
