Compulsory public community service for all would-be politicians!

Now THIS is what I call public service!!! How many of you would like to see ALL our elected representatives perform REAL public service like this? Maybe we should make it compulsory for them to do so? Maybe we should also make it compulsory for anyone wanting to stand for elections in the first place to clock up X number of hours of public service, sort of like how you need to clock up so much air time before you get your pilot's licence? Ooooh, I would so love to see how the wives with their Birkin bags follow their hubbies to go sweep longkangs etc. All in favour say, "AYE" right now!
